AGS Names Ian Gerrard Chief Financial Officer

 

Hampton, VA – November 09, 2009 – Avalon Global Solutions, Inc. (AGS), a provider of comprehensive Mobile Lifecycle Management services for mobile computing and communications, announced the appointment of Mr. Ian Gerrard as Chief Financial Officer effective November 2nd. Mr. Gerrard will advise on financial and operations management, growth capital financing, and M&A for accelerated value creation and continued profitable, sustainable growth.

Mr. Gerrard has over 25+ years of experience in global telecom financial management, corporate development, and Mergers & Acquisitions. He holds a MBA with a concentration in Finance from The Kogod School of Business Administration, The American University, Washington DC and is an Associate Member of the Australian Society of Certified Public Accountants, Australia.  As the Vice President of Finance and CFO at Comsat Int’l,  Mr. Gerrard led the Finance and Accounting organizations, located throughout the USA, Latin America and the Middle East, through a financial turn around. This financial turnaround included three multi-million dollar strategic acquisitions and a $50M fund raising event.  As Executive Director of Corporate Business Development at Global One/Equant, he formed a Financial Business Unit which drove the M&A transactions and strategic partnerships globally. Recently, Mr. Gerrard advised a wireless telecom services company on corporate financing and other financial initiatives.
